PSI, STI, ASO: How to Prepare for MPSC Combine Group B

The MPSC Combined Group B examination selects candidates for Police Sub-Inspector (PSI), State Tax Inspector (STI) and Assistant Section Officer (ASO) through a single Prelims exam, followed by separate Mains papers for each post. Your Prelims score decides eligibility; your Mains score decides the post — so post-specific Mains preparation is where selections are won.

PSI aspirants must add physical-test preparation to their routine from the beginning; waiting for results before starting running and ground work is the most common mistake. STI and ASO aspirants should go deeper into Maharashtra economy, taxation basics, office procedure and accountancy. For all three, previous-year papers and a disciplined test series remain the highest-return investment.
