MPSC Rajyaseva: Exam Pattern and Winning Strategy

MPSC Rajyaseva is conducted in three stages: Prelims (two objective papers), Mains (six descriptive papers including Marathi and English) and the Interview. Unlike UPSC, a large share of questions is rooted in Maharashtra — its history, geography, economy, polity and current affairs — so Maharashtra-specific study is not optional, it is the core of the exam.

Your preparation should mirror the pattern: solve objective questions daily for Prelims, but from day one write descriptive answers for Mains. Marathi-medium and English-medium aspirants should both practise compulsory language papers seriously, as many good candidates lose the merit list there. Analyse previous-year papers topic by topic and keep monthly Maharashtra current-affairs notes.
