A Daily Current Affairs Strategy That Actually Sticks

A Daily Current Affairs Strategy That Actually Sticks

The biggest current-affairs mistake is collection without revision. Aspirants download monthly compilations of 200 pages that they never read twice. Current affairs are forgotten exponentially — unless you revisit them within 24 hours, within a week and within a month, the effort is wasted. A small daily dose beats a heavy monthly pile, every single time.

Follow this 45-minute routine: read one reliable source for 25 minutes, make 10–15 one-line notes in your own words for 10 minutes, and revise yesterday’s notes for 10 minutes. Every Sunday, revise the whole week and attempt 20 MCQs. Every month-end, revise the month’s notes only — nothing else. For Maharashtra exams, always note the state angle of every national news item.

  • Small daily dose beats a heavy monthly pile
  • 25 min reading + 10 min notes + 10 min revision
  • Sunday: weekly revision + 20 MCQs
  • Note the Maharashtra angle of national news
